THE PAPAROA TROUBLE.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 19. Mr R- Semple arrived in Christ-, church, from Wellington to-day, where he has been conferring with the Government concerning the strike at Pap-aroa.-Mr Semple is on bis wav to the West Const and will present to the men proposals for a settlement. Mr Semple states that he is inclined .to think that a settlement of the difficulty will be effected.
