THE GERMAN FLEET.
LIKELY TO COME OUT.
I | (Received This Day at 9.00. a.in.) ,1 ! i LONDON April 14. | A naval corcrspondfiit says nothing is likelier than the appearance of the German Fleet to assist the proposed ; mashing of the British Army. Attempts to nso them to cover a landing in Brit;.in are improbable, though a latuli g at Xieuport, and Dunkirk to assist in the turning of the left flank of the British Army is just conceivable, ’ under the most favourable circumstances but a project, with fewer obstacles, and greater discomfort, to the Allies would be a push to break down the "Hard of Dover Strait, not using the transports and troops, hut merely light, fast, well-armed craft, rushing the defences and so permitting the passage of swarms of submarines, minelayers and attempting to cut the communications between Britain and France, the fleet meanwhile endeavouring to keep off Admiral Beatty. Such an attempt would fulfil the British and American fleet* most ardent, wishes.
