In a 1.55 morning report General Haig says—We repulsed after heavy fighting throughout the evening, attacks from Weterne to Wulverghen. We also repulsed the fourth attack on Neuve Eglise. \
We beat off last evening a determined attack near Festubert-. On this portin' l of the battlefront and northwestward at far as Lacon, numerous enemies wen* effectively engaged at short range byinfantry and artillery fire. Despite numerous strong attacks s i. all parts of the Lys battlefront. on - line remains intact. The enemy's losses, were of the severest throughout yesterday evening at Neuve E'glise, and the enemy recommenced attacks in the neighbourhood oPßailleul this morning which continue.
