TREASURER’S STATEMENTS.

Mr Andrewes submitted the following quarterly particulars of the imprest account : RECEIPTS.

EXPENDITURE.

WESTLAND PATRIOTIC FUND, QUARTERLY STATEMEMT. RECEIPTS.

It was resolved to thank Mrs Staveley and all assisting her in the production of the “Gondoliers” in aid of the fund.

Mr Andrewes was asked to prepare a balance sheet for presentation to a pnblic gathering on the occasion of t he next send-off.

ANZAC DAY.

It. was reported Anzac Day would be celebrated on Thursday week (25th) when a Government public holiday would be observed.

It was decided to mark the day in somewhat similar form to that observed on the two previous occasions. A dinner will be given to all returned men at one of the hotels at midday ; a patriotic public gathering will take place in the afternoon; and a patriotic consent (free; will be held at night. It was resolved to ask Mr Ivon Wilson to arrange the concert programme, the entertainment to take place in the Town Hall.

The meeting rose at 3.40 p.m.
