ON THE EAST FRONT.
LANDING IN SIBERIA. TOKIO, April 8. It is stated that, the Japanese landing at Vladivostock was inevitable, owing to the? repeated brutal attacks on the Japanese by the so-called Bolsheviks, though some of the perpetrators are German prisoners.
, STATE OF WAR PROCLAIMED. PETROGRAD. April 8. The Government has proclaimed a [state of war throughout Siberia, and j has ordered the Siberian Soviets to ori ganise detachments of Bed Guards to resist the Japanese. The Moscow Commissary ol Foreign Affairs lias formally protested to the Allied representatives against the landing at Vladivistoek, and demanding the immediate withdrawal of all torces. The Allies’ reply characterised the landing as purely a local affair, and due to local complications which will soon be settled.

Germany has telegraphed to the Commissary of Foreign Affairs demanding the immediate disarmament of the Russian Fleet and the conclusion of a RussoUkrainian peace. Germans at Hango demanded the cessation of the destruction of Russian warships, harbours and ports. Also- that holts and sights of the guns on the ships and land batteries must be removed before tlie 11th and the crews of Russian' ships must, [return to Russia, except a small nucleus of the crows.
