INTRIGUE IN MOROCCO. PETROGRAD Apr. 7. A Tangiers correspondent states simultaneously with the Somme offensive, Germans in Spain and Morocco tried to bring widespread plots to a head Five Germans visited Itaisuli’s stronghold, hitherto inaccessible to Europeans. Native agents in German employ were depatehed far and wide to rouse tbe tribes. Raisuli left the mountains and reinforced Abdul Malikh forces.
Other mercenaries occupied positions threatening French communications in the direction of Algeria. Germans bribed the natives laVishly and announced the fall of Calais and that Hindenburg was nearing Paris, but the natives have not yet been induced to move.
