THREE MILE SPORTS.
There was perfect, ’weather yesterday for the sports gathering held at Three Mile, which passed off very Successfully. There was a large attendance, and the events were run off promptly, the various con tests causing great interest, the officials being very attentive to their duties. The results are as follows :
Handicap Chop, loin log—. Mitchell 1, Cavern 2, Blackman 3.
Ladies Sawing—Mrs Akers and Miss Muir ]. Mrs ITewlitt and Mrs Harris 2.
Hand Saw—W. Blaeknmn 1, .J Curtain 2.
The greasy pig was secured by .1 Atkinson.
Married Ladies’ Race—Mrs .1 Freitas 1, Mrs Byrne 2.
Married Men’s Race—J. Atkinson 1, R. Bradley 2. / Bushman’s Race —W. Inglis 1. Returned Soldiers’ Race - C. Keogan 1, Graham 2.
Stepping Competition’ —W. Hart 1 ;
Maiden Chop, 12in log—J. Phillips sci„ L: Campbell 2sec, 2 ; Bradley 6secs, 3.
