Messrs if Houston and? Co notify they will sell by auction an Saturday next the Belle Vue Hotel, with freehold section of a quarter at an acre. If the property is not sold the' building will |>e sold for removal. The Minister of Lands (Hon. D. H. Guthrie) is in the ltaetihi district to take steps in the direction of affording relief to the settlers who suffered from the recent bush fires. The scheme is to supply on liberal terms grass seed, fencing etc. Mr Samlford, a Lands Department officer, will be. stationed in the district for a tfTne, and it hns been arranged that all authorised supplies will he made through hint in an expeditious manner. Mr. Guthrie states that the Government highly appreciate the splendid response from all parts of the Dominion in the interests of the settlers affected by the fire.
