Outlook, the winner of two races at Randwick was sold to S. P. Mac Kay for five thousand giuneas. C'etigne and Desert Gold had a close contest for winnings. Cetigne won £20,824, and Desert Gold £20,241. They stand third and fourth respectively among Australia's winners, following Carbine’s £29,476 and Trafalgar’s £22,111. A special appeal to racegoers at Randwick to subscribe to the war loan secured £57,000.
