In resnect to Arahura River erosion, Mr Furkert, Inspecting Engineer, would be sent down ,as early as po s sible to renort again on tlie situation and if anything could be done at a reasonable cost lie would be disposed to favourably consider the same. He would ask for a report regarding Bruce Bay bench road and would consider the question of transferring £IOO for the purpose from another vote, r Sir William Fraser was thanked f°r every consideration given to the requests. Mr Ward returns on Saturday, and Mr Grimmond proceeds to Wellington.
