- POL LARD’S PICTURES, BESSIE BARRISOALE, — MONDAY. •IN “THE SNARE.” On Monday evening the screening of the Triangle’s startling ami brilliant play, “ The Snarl,” will present the charming actress Bessie Barriscale in the 'master role of her career. In tiie dual part of the twin sisters, she gives a splendid characterisation of two sisters with entirely opposite dispositions, her facial expression being studies. The photographer has completed -a-great performance with the aid of almost incredible double exposure by making the two sisters talk to each other and embrace naturally as if there were two separate actresses. The scenes of wanton luxury on the millionaire’s pleasure yacht, the burning of the same, and the closing scenes of the catastrophe are powerful ones and are a succession of scenes flaming with emotional power added to by marvellous spectacles of great beauty. “The Sealed Packet,” the 3rd episode of “ The Secret Kingdom,” is a thrilling one. In his endeavour to obtain the sealed packet that contains the . papers that will disprove the boy’s right to the throne, the King has the boy and the Princess Julia entrapped into a den that is a nest of mysteries that makes the lives of the captives a living hell, and the episode a thrilling and startlingone.
