COAL MINERS' TROUBLE.
AT STATE AND PARAROA. GREYMOUTH This Day. After a meeting of the Union at the State Colleries this morning, it was announced that there would he no work to-morrow. It is understood that the deadloock a'mong the men themselves still exists. Paparoa mine was idle yesterday and to-day, owing to the trouble over a driver of a horse refusing to obey orders. The driver alleged that the Rorse was offensively diseased and walked out of the mine on Friday last, and did not present himself for work the following day alleging it was a regular holiday. He said it was news to him when he was told by the Alilitary Service Board at Greymouth on Tuesday last that his services were dispensed with. The Aliners Union have taken the matter up. ‘
