SURPRISE PACKET DAY.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Surprise Packet Day will be concluded at the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon, when all unclaimed pripo mackets will bo sold subsequent to the final distribution which takes place from 3 to 5 o’clock and from 7 to 8 o’clock in the evening for any packets remaining. There are many valuable prizes, in. eluding twenty four nuggets of gold, a trip to Canterbury, and numerous gift prizes. The ladies committee arc working hard and will have many choice articles ready for the packets. The childrens’ special packets will include toys, sweets, hooks, and games etc., and will be quite a special feature of the distribution, being something of a luckv dip on a large scale.
