GERMAN REPORT. AMSTERDAM March 12. Berlin advices state that the German activity on the Eastern Front been discontinued, but there has been intensified fighting against Russian bands. This has been especially the case in the Ukraine, where the Maximalist commands include Czech deserters from the Austrian, army. The latest advice is that a severe battle between the Germans and Bolsheviks -is proceeding north-east of Kieff. The principal combatants against the Germans in this battle are Czech deserters, who have heavy artillery.
