We . crossed the Wadiauja and captured a strong Turkish position five miles westward of the Jordan. We advanced on either side of Jerusalem along the Nablus Road, on a front of thirteen miles, aiid to an average depth of two or three miles. We also occupied Kefimalik iSelwad, and Telaisus, eastward of the (road. We encountered little opposition westward of the road. further progress. 'LONDON March 11. A Palestine Official message states: Northward our advance astride the .Terfusalem-Nabliis road continued through difficult country in face of the obstinate resistance of the enemy who were employing numerous concealed machine-guns. We progressed three thousand yards on a twelve mile front, securing high ridges overlooking the north bank of the Wadieljib, and consolidating our new line northward of Wadiauja Our aeroplanes bombed and machinegunned the enemy troops and transports all along the Nablus road and operations continue.
