A GAS ATTACK. / __ KILLS FIVE AMERICANS. (Received This Day nt 11.25. a.m.) NETT YORK, Feb. 27. The United Press correspondent f nt the American front states that the first gas attack against the American force was made on Tuesday. The tiermans hurled one hundred gas projectlies, with such suddenness, that several Americans were unable to utilise tlieii • masks, i A second gas attack followed almost immediately, hut the Americans icplied With a heavy fire, and held all tlieir positions. (Received This Dav at 1] 25. a.m.] LONDON, Feb. 27. The Admiralty reports that aircraft on Monday night dropped many tons of bombs on Constabker aerodrome, and Bruges Lock, with good results. Two further raids were made on Thursday on Engel dump and Abeele aerodrome. All our machines returned.
