FIRE AT OKARITO.

ROYAL MAIL HOTEL BURNT. A fire occurred at the Royal Mail Hotel Oliarito at an early hour this morning, resulting in the complete demolition of the building and its contents. The licensee, Mrs Friend and her daughter, had a narrow escape, only getting out in their night attire. . The only articles saved were a piano and a tin trunk. Messrs Friend (son of licensee) and Casev were also at the hotel at the time sleeping in a detached building There is no clue to, the origin of the lire. The whole building and its contents were destroyed".
