There were twenty starters. Won by one and a quarter lengths. Time 1.15]. FUTURITY STAKES.—Wedge 1, Desert Gold 2, Panacea 3. There, were twelve starters. Yoownlla and Reinmon were the early leaders, with Desert Gold gold close up. The same order was maintained for 'three furlongs from home, where Ilonra was in attendance on Desert Gold and Panacre. Wedge • lying handy. Hoprig led into the straight from Desert Gold, with whom Pnnaere and Wedge were almost .on forms. • At the distance the order was •Hoprig, Desert Gold, Wedge, Panacre. The tote handled £44,104. as against £35,851 for the. second day last yefyr; making a total of £80,950 for the meeting, as against £67,688 last year. Results: AUTUMN HANDlCAP—Tressida 1, Seadwon 2, Paddington Green 3. Won easily by a length. Time 3.4-5 2-5. MATARAWA HANDICAP—Staccato 1, Gang Aawa 2, Square Deal 3. Won by three lengths. Time 1.14 2-5. WANGANUI GUINEAS—Estland 1, Biplane 2, Acre 3. Won easily by two and a half lengths, Acre two lengths away. Time 1.41 2-5.
FORD ELI, 3 IURDLES—Otter 1, Parawanui 2, Mattock 3. Won by a length and a half. Time 3.14 1-5.

She failed in the last strides, under a heavy impost, and put up a splendid race, although MeLachlan did not appear so vigorous as in the St. George’s Stakes.
