THE FINAL FIGURES

CHRISTCHURCH, February 23,

Tin- one outstanding return in the Southern Maori bye-election, Mangamaunu, came to hand yesterday, but did wot affect the final result beyond reducing the majority of the successful candidate Mr Urn from 25 to 19. The Alangamaunti returns were as follows: Parat-a 6, Erihana. 3, Urn nil. This result makes the final figures: Urn 212 Parata 223 Erihana 1-59

The Coast voting was as follows:- — Parata Uru Erihana

There wore 997 electors on the roll, 72-1 votes being recorded.
