THE OPENING- PROCEDURE. WELCOME TO 'OVERSEA WOUNDED. (Received this day at 1.30 p.m.) LONDON February 1.0
The King at the opening of Parliament, was accompanied by Queen Mary and attended by the Prince of Wales. 'Australians; Now* Zealanders, and other Oversea troops furnished the mounted escort. The route was lined by an enthusiastic. crowd. The Royal Party passeu through the Royal Gallery, where wounded Overseas soldiers were accommodated.' Lord Lincolnshire,' the Grand Chamberlain addressed ■ the men aim said he was commanded by the King to give the brave Overseas, a Royal welcome and express his Majesty’s warm ' grateful appreciation of their gallantry and devotion in the field. After the conelusioff of a' victorious peace, the King and Queen wish you a happy return to the great dominion of which thev are so proud and you love so well.
