PRISONERS SENTENCED
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 8
In. the Supreme Court, Walter Franciij Cribb, aged thirty, found guilty of bigamy, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, with hard labour. Thomas McMillkn, for theft, received two years, and was declared an * habitual criminal. - Ernest Edward Barnshaw, aged seventeen, guilty of theft, was placed under the care of the Salvation Army for three years. Frederick Richard Woodley, aged thirty-four, for breaking and entering and theft, received three months, with hard labour. Percival John Edwards, aged sixteen, for arson was sentenced to four years’ reformative treatment, and Walter Robert Edwards, aged twenty-eight, for a similar offence, was sentenced to two years, reformative treatment.
