' The King’s speech in proroguing Parliament mentions America’s/ entry into the war, followed by other countries, which practically united the whole civilised work in a. .League of Nations agains unscrupulous aggression. Russia’s negotiations with the eyemy proved the enemy’s ambitions, which provoked this unhappy war, and are unabated. British naval and military forces had displaced them in all theatres, and it was the noble courage, high constancy, and fixed determination that the Dominion forces had borne their full share in the. toil and glory of the day. -■Settlement by agreement was a difficult question. Electoral reform leads me to hope that a, solution of the Irish question is possible, despite i complexities which the Convention is earnestly considering. /
