MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.
WEST-PORT, Jan. 28. Mr J H. Green wod 3 a well known local business/nan. a. member of the West port Harbor Hoard, met with an accident on Saturday while travelling by a private car from Nelson to 'West, port. Shortly after leaving. Alborn’s Hotel, at the J unction, at a. 15. p.m. the car ran off the road and fell some flirty or forty feet, landing on the wheels. The two ’occupants were thrown out. of the car. the own. landing in the scrub escaped without injury. Mr. Greenwood was not so fortunate as he got a nasty gash on the right knee and also minor injuries to the left leg and to the , left side. The car was very badly damaged. Another motor car accident occurred a few days earlier at the sa.me place and the gear for lifting tlic car was available to lift the car damaged by the present accident. Air Victor Alborn’s motor car was kindly placed at the' disposal of Air Greenwood until a car despatched from Westport met them oa the road. On arrival in town. Air Greenwood had the injuries attended to by Dr. Foote who fount! it necessary to put in some stitches in the gashed knee.
