A BRITISH RAID. CROSSING THF. ICE. Received, this day at 8.4-*5 a.m. LONDON January 10. Mr. Ward Price describes the thoroughness of the British preparations for the raid across the Piave, resulting in the demolition of machine gun posts and prisonering of the garrison. The raiders rubbed themselves previously for a week, with camphorated oil. They crossed tlie ice cold water waist deep aided by a. rope and marched miles afterwards to restore their warmth
