General Haig reports the enemy made a strong loeal attack against positions on the Hindenburg line, eastwards of Bulleedurt. A small party occupied a sap before the front trench. The enemy were repulsed on the remainder front, before reaching the positions. Hostile artillery were active northeast of Ypres. Our aeroplanes on Friday dropped 250 bombs on Denain Led eg, Menin, and Roulers rail stations.

Air fighting was _inostly confined to the Northorn»portion of the front, where we brought down eight and drove down two. Five of ours are missing.
