She will therefore arrive at Hokitika about 1' p.m. on Saturday Mr. James Murthn, Snr., one of the pioneers of the Coast, and for a spacr of forty years n resident of KufUara passed away at the residence of his daughter. .Mrs Crisson, Nelson, on Tuesday morning last. The late Air. Murthn was a very old resident of the Coast having arrived in Ross in the early 'sixties eventually settling in Kumarn. The deceased was a sterling, upright man. who made many friends hv his quiet unobtrusive way and at the time of his death was 87 years of age. Two sons and two daughters are left to mourn their loss.
