BOXING NOTES
IRELAND V. MURPHY

Barney Ireland has wired notifying his arrival at- Hokjtilfa on Saturday night for the big fight to take place, which has now been definitely set down tor Wednesday night (first race night) at the Opera House, Hovel! Street. There is a great deal of interest being taken in the coming bout and already a number of seats have been book ed so that, patrons should at once engage their seats so as not to be disappointed. There is much dsieussion among boxing men as to the powers of the two contestants, and much controversy as to whom will prove the winner on Wednesday next, a great contest being eagerly looked forward to.
To addition to the main contest, there will Ito an attractive three round bout by the. two brothers Tvynzett of Waiutn who gave such a line exhibition at Greymouth last week.
