ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.
PRICES REMAIN STEADY. (By Telegraph.—Special to Cuardlan.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding the above sales on Wednesday. Fat Cattle. —There as a small yarding and the quality was good. Prices were about equal to last sale. Freezing buyers were unable to operate. Best steers brought £l9 to £2l 10s; ordinary £ls 10s, to £18; cows and heifers £ll to £l4, and extra up to £l7. Store Cattle. —There was a medium yarding but no decent lines. The demand was equal to the last sale, except for three year old bullocks, which were easier. West Coast buyers were present, but did not buy. Eighteen months to 2vear heifers brought £6 12s 6d to £8; 21-year steers £9 10s to £11; empty cows £7 to £9 15s.
Fat sheep.- I —There was a small raiding. but- quite enough for buyers requirements. Although prices wore easier they were, still above freezing limits. Wethers sold to 38s, prime 33s 6d to 365; medium find lighter. 295-0 d 0d to 335; ewes in the same proportion .
Store sheep.—There was a large entry and brisk competition for all classes compared with fat sheep prices. Best wethers brought from 28s to
33s 9d ; two tooth ewes from 2-1 s to 28s ; two tooth wethers from 20s to 23s 6d. Inferior sorts at last sales prices. i
