ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. The usual fortnightly stock fixture look place yesterday when 50 head of cattle, several pens of Christmas lambs and 140 fat sheep were yarded. Competition was keen throughout the sale and though there was nn unusual entry of cows and heifers, these sold well at late rates. Prime ox' hoof made 555. per hundred and cow and heifer heel' from 475. 6d. to £2 12s. 6d. There was an excellent yarding of lambs the quality being prime and competition was keen for same.. The following sales were recorded:— Messrs G. W. Moss and Co. sold for Mr. R. Adamson 5 prime quality 'bullocks from £2O 10s. to £l7 55., 16 prime heifers from £l6 10s to £l4 2s fid 1 steer at £7 12s fid. The latter amount was kimllv donated by Mr. R. Adamson to te Patriotic Fund.

Messrs W. Jeffries and Co., sold as follows:—Cattle—For Mr. John Olsen, 8 prime steers from £l6 7s fid to £l4 10s : for Mr. H. Johnstone 9 prime steers from £ls to £l4 2s (kl; 8 heifers from £ll 17s Od to £ll 10s; for Mr H. Boddfngton 1 fat cow £ll 10s, I vealer* £2 10s; for Mr. R. S. Barrett 1 cow at £B.

Sheep.—For Mr. A. Meharrv, 30 prime lambs at 24s -9d, 9 shorn wethers at 32s 9(1; for Mr. R. A. Haroourt 25 prime lambs at 23s 9d, 30 shorn wethers at 32sg for Mr. H, Karnbach 1 show wether, s horn 455, 14 shorn wethers at--365, 16 prime lambs at 255.

Messrs M. Houston and Co. report itl'.ieir sale of fat stock at Arahura Yards yesterday as follows : Our yarding consisted of 13 head ol heifers and cows, which, although unfinished, were all cleared at satisfactory prices. We sold on account Mr 11. Diedrich, 2 cows at £l4, 2 heifers at £l3 2s fid, 6 heifers at £ll ss, 1 (small) at £8; on account Mr D. Diedrich, 1 cow at £l2; on account Mr J. llavi 11 1 cow at £lO 10s; on account Mr J. Gardiner, 35 lambs at 19s.
