Lanee-Corpl William White of Stillwater is reported killed in France. The deceased soldier who had only reached his 22nd. year, had seen over two years active service having left New Zeatand with the sth. Reinforcements. He saw service at Gallipoli and France and up to the time of his death in ac-iion had never been laid up for a single day. The I'ecord of the White family is truly a marvellous and most tragic one, as William makes the fourth son of the family to make the great sacrifice John, Daniel and Thomas all being killed in previous battles, while another brother Jame s is on active service.
