BOWLING.

On the Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon a game was played between representatives of the Caledonian Society and the Club. After an interesting game the Society won by two points. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies. The details were: — Caledonians, —Davidson, Boyd, Alexander and W. Wilson (S.) 22, defeated Ryan, do Berry, Hickson and ’ Blank (S.) IS., Caledonians.—Maunder, Bruce, A. King and Stevenson (S.) 15 lost to Borton, Jarman. Braddon and J. H. Wilson (S.) 17. Caledonians.—Mackenzie, J. King,. Thompson and Stewart' (S.) and Caliill, Wetliev, Harrop and Na’lder,(S.V played a draw 20 points each. Totals.—Caledonians 57, Club’ 55. Before tlie play started, two pipers led the Caledonians round the green, hut they had disappeared before the ond of the game and so were unable to help celebrate in the victory. A sliowei of rain stopped play for a few minutes about five o’clock.
