The “Manchester Guardian's” I’etrograd correspondent says messages from .Jassy show that the chief anxiety of the Roumanian Government is to preserve the dynasty. The Central Powers are willing to evacuate and restore Roumanian territory on condition that a new dynasty .is enthroned sympathising with the Hohenzollern and Hapsburgs. •-* The Roumanian hourgeoise includes a. strong Germanophilo party favourinjgt peace on this basis. Moreover the Russian revolutionary soldiers are carrying on a republican agitation in the Roumanian Army on the basis of immediate peace for the purpose of freeing Roumanian peasants from serfdom, the Roumanian .Tews, from disabilities and the establishing of a republic at Bucharest. The 'Leninite Government does not regard itself as bound by, treaties made 'between Roumarjin and the Tsar's Government.
