The Council, on the grounds of economy 'and in view of the state of the Council’s finances and the finances of the country generally, reduced the Lord Mayor’s allowance from £ISOO to £IOOO. DODGING THE CENSOR. SYDNEY, Dec. 10. H. E. Boote, editor of the newspaper “Australian Worker” was fined £25 on each of four counts for failing to sub mit for censorship articles relating to the war, before publication in the “Worker.” A GREAT MEETING.
