NEW THEATRE TAX AT HOME.

The increased entertainmenttnxes imposed by the last Budget and affecting theatres, music-halls, and picture-houses in Great Britain came into operation 011 October Ist. Iu theatres and music-halls the taxon 6d seats is increased from id to ed, on is seats from 2d to 3d, and so on, the 5s seat tax now being 9d as against 3d,'and the tax 011 the 39s box being increased from 2s to 4s.

In picture houses the tax 011 3d seats is id, and 0116 d seats 2d, while seats between 5s and 7s 6d. now ccst an additional is. The tax on complimentary seats has been abandoned.
