A CAPITAL CONCERT.

i i There was a large attendance at the i Princess Theatre last- evening when a capital concert programme was given in aid of the funds of the Catholic School, [ncluded in the audience was the Right Rev. Bishop of Christchurch and a number of visiting clergy. In the course of tlio evening Mr. H. Williams thanked his Lordship and visiting clergy and audience for their attendance, and the performers for their valued assistance, singling out Air. and Mrs. Wilson and Mr. Fitzgerald for special mention.

The programme was as follows: Chorus, “Kia Ora,”, Senior Pupils, Instrumental Trio, “Rendez-vous," Misses 'Poker (2) and Knowles; Vocal Solo, “Molly Bawn,” Mr. T. Hogan (encored); Duet, “When you wore a Tulip and I wore a Rose,” Mr. and Mrs O’Shauglinessy (eui,cored); Pianoforte Duet, “Morris Dance” Misses Dudderidge and Hawken; Song, Mr. P. Fitzgerald (encored); Song, “The Land of Gra-Machroe,” Miss Harvey (encored): Pianoforte Duet, “Irish Diamonds,” Misses Daly and Htopforth (encored); Vocal Solo “When .Song is Sweet” (G. Sans Souci), “Of all the Year tis‘Summer’’ (Anon) Mr Ivon Wilson (encored); Instrumental Trio “II Bacio,’’ Misses Tolter, Eao and Knowles. ;• Prologue and Chorus, “Old Mother Hubbard,” Mother Hubbard, (encored); Vocal Duet “I heard a Voice,” Misses Hatch and Harvey; Yioli n Solo, “Mazurka” Miss E. Hatch (encored); Three part Chorus, “Lead Kindly Light,’’ Senior Pupils; Song, “Beautiful Beatrice, (Mai linson) Mr. Ivon Wilson (encored); Recitation, “Mother of -Men,” Miss E. Millner (encored); Song, “Mother Mach, roe” Mr. T. Hogan (encored); Pianoforte Trio, “The Lute Player,” Misses Daly, Heennn, and Stopforth; Maori War Song ‘Haere Tonu,’’ The Natives. The Accompanists were Airs. Tvon Wilson, Misses Daly and Giese. The National Anthem concluded a very successful gathering.
