At a well known poultry farm in Sydenham (says the Christchurch Press) a girl called for a sitting of a dozen duck eggs. She came back again twice on the same day, on each occasion making a similar purchase. At the last visit the poultry farmer asked the girl if her mother had an incubator, as she required so many eggs. The delightfully innocent answer was: “No, but mum has a very big hen.”
