■REEF SOLD AY ELL. (By Telegraph. —Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as follows regarding the above sales on AVodnesday. Fat cattle.—There was a medium entry, the quality on the average being good. Best steer beef sold well up to late rates cows and second quality steers being easier. Freezing buyers were operating in cows but va!ue s were nearly always over their limits.

Best steers sold from £3O to £2B' os medium £lO 10s to £10; unfinished £l4 to £7 os. Cows and heifers £ll to £lB 7s 6. ' Store cattle. —Therejvas a heavy entry, all classes being represented, and a healthy demand. The bulk of the yarding was sold. Four year old steers very forward, realised £l6 17s 6 ; 3-year olds £ll 5s to £l3 17 0; 18-months and 2-year at £7 7s <>d to £0; yearlings £5 os; to £7 12s 6(1. For extra good dry cows £7 to £10; 3 year okl heifers £0 15s £lO. Fat sheep.—There was a smaller entry than last week and prices were slightly firmer, especially for best shorn sheep. Rest wethers sold to 38s 6(1; prime from 31s 6d to 355; lighter, 28s 6d to 31s. Ewes, primest, to 38s ; good 30s to 34s 6d ; light and inferior 26s to 295. AVoolly sheep in the same proportion. A West Coast buyer was operating. Store sheep.—There was a small entry and good , sale all round. Best shorn wethers 30s to 31 s6d ; shorn hoggets, 22s to 25s Gd; ewes and lambs, the same as last, week.
