At the Princess Theatre tlii s evening a particularly fine concert is to bo given by the way of a patriotic benefit Circumstances have brought together for to-night several ladies and gentlemen of artistic ability in the musical world and they are devoting their talent free with tho object of assisting a most worthy patriotic otTJect —the Y. AI.C.A. trench comforts fund. 'Hie programme is circulated to-day, and it i s an exceptionally good one. Lovers of music in Hokitika will have a great musical treat provided for them to-night. All tlie performers enjoy the highest reputation on tho concert platform and a local audience is fortunate in (finding itself in such close touch with so admirable n concert party. Mrs. Ivon Wilson will preside at the piano, and Miss Nellie Chunn of Greymoutli will he the lady vocalist. Mr E TT. Short who enjov s a- New Zealand reputation, will sing several baritone songs and be beard also in duets. Mr. Tvon Wilson has a special place on the programme, and the audience will enjoy his numbers for a certainty. Mr. Len Aldridge will he heard oracularly and vocally and his assistance will add pleasing variety, as will also the instrumental numbers to be rendered by .Mr. Farrar. As the concert commends itself so genuinely to public patronage, it (e----ma-ins only to anticipate a bumper attendance and bulky credit balance for comforts for the men hi the forward trench linos .
