GENERAL HAIG’S REPORT.
IMPROVING THE POSITION

(Received this day at 12.30 a.m.) LONDON November 20. General Haig reports—We improved our positions slightly during the night northwest of Passchendaele . AVo repulsed an attack on certain advanced posts northwards of Polygon AVood. Our machine guns this morning caught other parties approaching south west of Poolcapelle. The majority were killed or prisonered. The enemy raided the trenches last night, east of Gouzencourt. FRENCH OPERATIONS.

A French communique says on the right- bank of the Meuse, in the region of Chaiime Wood we advanced appreciably and inflicted losses on the enemy The artillery duel was continued lively hereabouts.
