[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.] WESTPORT COAL COMPANY. DUNEDIN November 10. Tlio annual report of the Westport Coal Company states that the profit for the year was £'14,070, which with the balance from last year makes £50,901. An interim dividend of 9d. per share was declared fertile half-year ended March 31. The directors propose a dividend of Is for the half-year ended September 30, also to appropriate £IOOO for employees' provident fund and to carry £10,589 forward.' The directors also propose a bonus of 3d.. per share from the insurance fund.

Poyton, said there was no reason to suspect that the licensee of -Andrew’s .Motel, where the blaze commenced, had anything to do with it. lie being a heavy loser by tile fire. The Magistrate discounted the possibility that it was due to I."WAV. activity or enemy action.
