CONCERT AT KANIERI.

The'concert at Kanieri Pnblic Hall on Wednesday evening given by the pupils of St Joseph’s School, proved a great success. There was a large and appreciative audience and the reception given the performers was flattering in the extreme. Too much praise cannot be given to the Sisters, who had trained the children with such success. The programme was as follows : Part I —Chorus “ Anzac ” school children ; piano solo, *• Rhapsody ” Miss Diidderidge; hoop drill, school girls; recitation, “Mother of Men,” Miss Millner ; Irish song and dance, “Mother Macliree” Misses Wrobleske, Pfalilert, Rooney, Head, aud B. Pfahlert; song, “ Zealandia’s Soldiers ” boys; vocal solo, “The Joy Bird ” Miss Bergman ; gallop, “Rough Riders ” A. Pfalilert, M. Rooney, A Singer. “All’s Well That Ends Well,”— L. Hutchinson, “ Grandad,” A. Head, “ Tim,” D. Pfahlert, “ Jim ” ; action song, “ Gipsies ” girls. Part 11. - Song and tableau, “ A Big Bit of Sunshine,” girls; song “Pour Jolly Sailormen,” W. Fleming, C Fleming, M Hutchison, A Head; piano solo. “ Capricante,” Miss Giese ; drill, “.Ribbon Waltz,” girls; recitation, “ Curfew ” Miss Dudderidge ; dance, “ Sunshine and Rain,” A. The National Anthem concluded a successful concert. For the ball that followed there was a good attendance and an enjoyable couple of hours was spent.
