LIVE STOCK REPORT.
; Mark Sprot and Co. report their sale at the Central Yards, Greymoutli yesterday as follows:
l 42 very prime quality cattle from South Westland were yarded and sold tinder snirited competition, prices receding somewhat- on late rates, due partly to the warmer weather causing lessened demand and the growing feeling that values for export will he reduced owing to shipping shortage. We sold on account of Messrs Perry Bros., Evan’s Creek: 4 bullocks at £l6, 2 at £ls 17s 'fid, 3 at £2O 2 S Gd, 3 at £l7 5s 3 at £l7 7s 6d; 1 heifer at £l3 15s. On account of client-: 3 bullocks at- £22 17s Gd, 4 at £l9 15s, 4 at £lB, 4 at £l7 17s 6d; 4 heifers at £l2 12s 6d. Only a small entry of fat sheep were s old at 38s 6d.
