The “Cologne Gazette” states that Hertling, yielded to the Kaiser’s pressure, and having conferred wh the Reichstag party leaders, reached an understanding, and decided to accept fche chancellorship and the Prussian Premiership. The “Vossische Zeitung” states that y Hertling accepted the conditions of prompt suffrage reform in Prussia, mitigation of the political censorship, and the - ate to seize the adoption of a foreign policy in accordance with Germany’s reply to th<x Pope’s peace note. Hertling is an audience with -the Kaiser, who-it is understood, favours the Prussian suffrage project.
