THE COUNCIL. WELLINGTON, Oct. 29. Tlie Legislative Council met at 2.30 on Saturday afternoon. The Native Land Laws Amendment and the Washing-Up Bill were put through all stages. The Reserves and Other Laws Disposal Enabling Bill, dealing with matters Effecting, various districts, received from the House was put through all stages, with amendments. The Council adjourned at 8.45 p.m. until 11 o’clock on Monday morning. THE” HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. In the House the Expeditionary Forces Amendment Bill wa s received with (amendments from the Legislative Council, consideration of which was set down for the next sitting day. Hon. Ha'nan introduced the Statute Land Amendment Bill with amendments in various directions of thc’Edueation Act 1914. The Prisons Act, Counties Act, Defence Act, Land Allotments, Finance Act, Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, Registration of Trade and Commerce Act, and tlie Registration of Aliens Bill passed all stages, with amendments. The House rose at 11 30 p.m. } . till *2.30 o’clock on Afondav afternoon.
