SHIPPING STRIKE ENDED
RESUME WORK TO-DAY
Wellington, Oct 26
At a meeting of members of the Wellington branch of the Seamen’s Union concerning the strike affecting small vessels, it was decided that the men should resume work to-morrow on the terms existing prior to the dispute. It is understood that the Prime Minister undertook to arrange a conference with the shipowners, and on that assurance the men decided to return to duty.
