We regret to learn that Mr. H. M. Coulson, Deputy-Mayor, is somewhatindisposed and confined to his room. Advice lias been received that Liout. Robert Spence son of Mr. D. Spence of Rimu has been wounded in France Mr. G. A. Perry, Mayor of Hokitika, who bas been on a health, visit- to New South Wales, has returned to New Zealand, and is expected here on Saturday night.

Lange, Wnimangaroa, killed in > action; Corporal Fred Paine, of Oronadun, died of wounds; Private Con Hall, of Westport, slightly wounded; Corpor- , al D. Ross, of Millerton, wounded; j Private D. Harder, Westport, removed ( from dangerously ill list; Private J. I P. Kilmartin, Westport Bounded; Private O. Mellon, of Millerton, killed in f action; Rifleman H. J. Wood, son of Mr. F. Wood, Westport, seriously ill in the 10th General Hospital, Rouen; Private W. Main, whose parents reside in Bracburn, killed; Lieut. W. J. Stone, Murchison, died of wounds; Edward Clough, eldest son of Mr. E. Clough, wheelwright of Murchison, died of wounds. A word to the wives is sufficient.
