THE COUNGIL.
The Council met at 2.30. p.m. The Council passed the Shops and Offices Bill, with amendments, which were agreed to by tho House. The Council also passed a number of local Bills received from the House. THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. The House discussed the report or the Committee on the operations oi the American Meat Trust. The committee recommend that Government should pass legislation dealing with monopolies and combines. The debate was unfinished. At the evening sitting the House, passed the State Supply of Electrical Energy, Land Laws Amendment and Social Hygiene Bill through all stages. The House rose at 1.5 a.m.
