SUBMARINE WARFARE
DESTROYER SUNK. T AUSTRALIAN <fc N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION j LONDON, Oct 23. The Admiralty reports that a destroyer was sunk as the result of a collision. Two officers and twenty-two men were saved. CRUISER ORAME SUNK?. LONDON, Oct. 23. The armed merchantile cruiser Orame was torpedoed and sunk on Friday. There were no casualties. BRAZILIAN STEAMER SUNK, MADRID, Oct. 23rd. Advices from Ferrol show that a German submarine sank the Brazilian steamer Mahan, six thousand tons, carrying a valuable cargo. The captain was made prisoner. THE U BOAT PERIL.
