Rev. Spurgeon had been in tailing health for some time and had a seizure some weeks ago.
[The deceased was (51 years of age, and was a native of London. He visited Australia in 1879 and accepted the pastorate of the Baptist Church, Auckland, in 1881, and was Evangelist of N.Z. Baptist Union 1889-1893. CommeQcfed ministry at Metropolitan Tabernacle, London in 1893, hut, resigned owing to ill health in 1908.]
