THE GOUNCIL. WELLINGTON, Oct. 19. The Council met at 2.30. p.m. The Council read a second time the Shops and Offices, and Ilutt Road Amendment Bills.
THE HOUSE. The House met at 2.30 p.m. ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES. Replying to Mr. Hudson, the Premier sadd nothing could be done this year to alter the law regarding the fixing of electoral boundaries, but it might be considered next session, billiard rooms. Replying to Mr. Glover, the Premier said no further legislation could be introduced to enable billiard rooms in connection with hotels to remain open after 6 p.m. GO SEOW POLICY. Replying to Mr. McCombs regarding the stoppage of work on the Auckland Railway tunnel the Minister of Public Works said the men had adopted a “Go Slow” Policy, and ho had given them of working under the co-operative principle. They could accept the offer or leave it alone, but he was not going to allow men to appoint his officers or to run his Department.
